realfakescientist: A corner of the great kufa mosque. the outer Minaret is the older one, while the inner one is the newer one, constructed after the renovations. the mosque is gorgeous, but I prefer the older Minarets to the newer ones, probably because of the design and architecture. the older ones are more traditional and Arab-styled while the newer ones have a more Persian/south Asian influence.
